And it’s why you’ll see the same technology that helps us win the most grueling endurance races make its way into our street tires. That’s because MICHELIN® recognizes that you need it all from your tires — safety, a comfortable ride, fuel efficiency, grip and control, toughness, and more. Many of those performances naturally compete, and increasing one tends to decrease another. That’s not acceptable at MICHELIN®.

The bulk of construction took place during the pandemic. The owner and architect were in a “pod, driving long hours together for site visits. This togetherness presented a unique opportunity for conversation, collaboration, and ultimately a common vision for their family. Decorated with a flare of cows, this cabin is warm and cozy. This one takes a classic bucatini and incorporates uni and sake into a cream sauce before being topped with stracciatella and roe for a tangy, sweet, and salty splash of flavor that was rather unexpected.

Getaway Cabin is located on a quiet road within walking distance of town! With 1 king, 2 queens, and a sleeper sofa, the cabin comfortably sleeps 8. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living areas all overlook the amazing shoreline of the lovely and desirable Lost Lake. On the snacks and small plates front, we started with an order of crab and bacon hushpuppies, beef tartare, and foie gras nigiri which was a limited special during our visit. Hemlock House is located in the former Map Room space in Regent Square, and originally Sickels was thinking of moving the pizzeria to that location.

The living room features a gas fire and updated furniture with all of the necessities of a home like high-speed internet and smart TV technology. More than 2,000 acres of water to explore between Lake Content, Fawn Lake, and Big St. Germain Lake. It has 2 levels with a deck on the upper level that overlooks the lake and a walk-out basement on the lower level. Getaway Cabin is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage tucked in the woods on the West Bay of Little St. Germain Lake.

“Snacks” feature a Kielbasa Corn Dog, Shishitos (those mild Japanese, charred peppers,) and Fried Smelts. Of course there are special burgers and chicken sandwiches, and large plates featuring Ribeye, Pork Tenderloin and a Gouda-based Mac ’N’ Cheese. For the “V” crowd, Hemlock House offers up a wild mushroom Farrotto, Fried Artichokes and a decadent Kale Salad, among other intriguing fare. Little Saint Germain is one of the most popular fishing and recreational lakes in the Northwoods with over 950 acres to explore.

This unit has been recently remodeled with an all new kitchen, new bathroom, new flooring, and all new furniture. Initially, Sickels planned to move his pizza shop from White Oak into the former Map Room space. But after checking out the kitchen, he realized it was much too small for what he needed to make his pizza. Thus, the idea for something completely distinctive was born. On July 11, an open sign quietly clicked on in Regent Square. With the lights illuminated, Rockaway Pizzeria owner Joshua Sickels’s second restaurant, Hemlock House, officially debuted.

Kayaks and life jackets have been provided to help you get right out on the water – paddling the lake is the best way to see eagles soaring above. The kitchen has all the bells and whistles needed to cook a gourmet meal or entertain guests. You can enjoy the water view from the floor to ceiling windows in the living room, fieldstone gas FP & lakeside primary bedroom ft. large ensuite.

Perfect for a large group for Winter or Summer Vacations. Our only real regret from our first visit was that we got in before the restaurant had its full liquor license and bar program established, so we couldn’t quite see what the pub has in store for the cocktail side of the menu. Guests at the Hemlock House are independent from Hemlock Hall, even in season.

hemlock house

For now, in lieu of the license, Hemlock House is partnering with local beer and liquor places for extended pop-ups inside the establishment. The menu varies weekly, but a recent list included a lemon-caper tofu dish, an eggplant agrodolce sandwich, and an orecchiette and mushroom soup. There, you just got healthier reading that description (no not really). Eventually, Hemlock House will also serve cocktails, once their liquor license has been finalized, likely later next month. Until then, they’ve partnered with Kingfly Spirits in the Strip District and Arboretum Trail Brewing in the East End, “for extended pop-ups with their products, basically,” he says. The home is situated at Lake Naomi, a private community and retreat comprised of a lake, community center, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and golf club.

For those who love interesting flavors with perfectly cooked pasta, this one is a gem. The foie gras nigiri was an interesting one for a limited run menu item and was all about the texture- delectably smooth foie gras served on top of rice was the picture of decadence all around.

The Beechview pizzeria that just celebrated 13 years in business has opened its sixth area location in Robinson Town Centre. The latest creation of musician and restaurateur Joshua Sickels, founder of Rockaway Pizzeria in White Oak, Hemlock House has “no similarities to the pizzeria other than possibly aesthetics,” Sickels tells NEXTpittsburgh. We are a close-knit community and hold our neighbors and local businesses in high regard. Two-night minimum – We require a two-night minimum and in the summer months we ask that you avoid checking out on Saturdays as it is our turnover day at Hemlock Hall, and we are very busy.

The view to the lake from the living room has often been referred to as a “Million Dollar View” by many visitors. It’s a great place to gather in the morning to have coffee and plan the days’ activities while taking in the smell of the outdoors on the beautiful screen porch. If you’re lucky, the deer will even walk by the on their way out for the day. Newly updated this 3 bedroom and 3 bath home pays attention to details and has every amenity you will need for a stellar vacation up north! On the West bay of Little St. Germain Lake, this lovely home gives you plenty of fun and relaxation for your visit to the beautiful area of St. Germain. The impeccable woodwork throughout this home is warm and inviting, to include all the comforts of home.

Two bedrooms each have a queen bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds. Reel in a Bass, Pike, or Walleye, or simply paddle through the pine-encompassed bays of the lake to witness the soaring of eagles and glimpses of deer as they sneak around the lakefront. There are 2 window-unit air conditioners in the dining area & main bedroom with ceiling fans in the bedrooms. It is approximately 26 feet deep at its deepest point. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Bluegill and Largemouth Bass.

Lake Naomi is a private community and retreat comprised of a lake, community center, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and golf center. For an additional fee, guests of Hemlock House can obtain temporary membership to the club for access to all amenities. Situated on a gently sloping site on the edge of a lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, this residence re-interprets the alpine house type through a distinct material strategy. The winters in this region are severe and receive some of the highest snowfalls in the continental United States, often burying homes up to the roofline.

This unit has been updated and features a north woodsy feel with knotty pine on the walls, a cozy fieldstone fireplace, a wall of windows facing the lake and a large sun deck for enjoying outdoor dining and the waterfront views. Carefully renovated in 2021, this 1968 single-level home has three full bedrooms plus an ample fourth guest TV room/office, and two bathrooms. The main living space is perfect for a cozy gathering by the fireplace with a puzzle or games. The ample back deck and patio spaces have a grill and dining area, fire pit and lots of space to lounge—and an outdoor ping-pong table. In the front, there is parking for up to four cars, plus a basketball hoop. Seven Pines is perfectly equipped and with everything you'll need for your stay.

Cooper's Cabin

Little St. Germain lake offers 972 acres for dining, boating, fishing & water sports. Half of the small space is taken up by the vintage-looking bar area, with music and pop culture photos and memorabilia donning the walls. The Hemlock House is the perfect basecamp for all your Adirondack adventures with the comforts of home and ample space for your gear. It is located on Rt. 30 in the Hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake (address will be given upon booking). While it is not directly on Blue Mountain Lake, in the warmer months guests have access to a private beach at Hemlock Hall and the public town beach. The internal spaces were designed to accommodate both community and privacy.

There is a carport to safely store snowmobiles or bikes, a gas grill, firepit. Nestled among the pines, this 3-bedroom cottage is the perfect destination for an escape to the Northwoods. The cabin is located on the West Bay of Little Saint Germain Lake. This beautiful cabin features a wood fireplace and up north decor, to create the perfect getaway.

The charred (shou sugi ban) upper volume floats above and contrasts with the snow below. The concrete walls bolster the house against snow loads while providing a protective shell against the elements, analogous to the hull of a ship. The porous lakeside façade is composed of sliding glass doors providing views and a direct connection to the lake. 1) It might have become another Rockaway Pizzeria, the well-attended joint in White Oak owned by Josh Sickels, but the kitchen was not large enough. So Hemlock House, formerly The Map Room, will feature what the menu calls “irreverent food and cocktails.” Small plates include Crab & Bacon Hushpuppies, Mushroom Toast, and Beef Tartare.

A large lake facing patio features plenty of seating for picnics and a charcoal grill for classic cookouts under the stars! Walk down to the lake front to the dock, with seating and a platform that’s perfect for fishing right off the pier! A lakeside firepit completes the shoreline, late night s’mores will be even more memorable with the lake just beyond the flames.

Since founding the site in 2015, we have explored over 1,300 attractions, restaurants, bars/breweries, events, cool public spaces, and so many more things to do in Pittsburgh. Thankfully, to fill the gap Kingfly Spirits and Arboretum Trail Brewing were hosting in-house popups featuring their cocktails (on separate billing) to serve up the drinks along with the food. The beef tartare was another small plate that had Asian inspired elements as the beef was topped with a soy cured egg yolk, shoyu (soy sauce), miso, and more. While the meet was the star of the show here, the light soy and miso flavors were present and added a nice umami richness with subtle sweetness overall. The only organization to support all six ballot initiatives. Allowed to die; John Ashcroft was the governor of Missouri at that time.

Enjoy a peaceful escape in this 2-bedroom cabin, with a queen bed in both rooms and 1 pull-out queen sofa Eagle Watch has hi-speed wi-fi, updated landscaping, kayaks, a paddle board, and a fishing boat with a 9hp motor. The bedrooms boast new queen-size beds and a sleeper sofa. The living room and combination kitchen/ dining area look out over the lake. Every aspect of the kitchen is brand new and perfectly appointed for a carefree lake vacation. With beautiful counters and cabinets and all the items you need to entertain or dine in, there is almost no reason to leave the house after you arrive!

SKATING PROGRAMS

Each free skate level is comprised of a variety of progressive skating skills, transitions, spins and jumps — all of which build on the previous skill, providing skaters a strong foundation of all elements. These levels will be taught in a positive and interactive group format such as a bridge program, circuit classes or as an introductory training program. Lava Beds National Monument is located on the ancestral lands of the Modoc people. In 1870, a group of 372 Modocs left the reservation and returned to Lava Beds, taking refuge in a natural lava fortress and holding off the U.S. army for five months.

In recent years, as the area has experienced warmer winters, Crystal Ice Cave seems to be melting, according to a short video from the National Parks Service. The Parks Service did not open Crystal Ice Cave tours in 2020 due to  high temperatures, which prevent the monumental ice formations from freezing and leave areas of the cave wet and too dangerous to traverse. The cave is usually accessible via private tours on Saturdays from January through March, which can only be booked over the phone and tend to fill up fast, according to Gizmodo. At one point, the ice cave tours took as many as 40 people—until rangers noticed the tours caused an enormous, unnatural spike in temperature and reduced the group size to six.

Despite being similar in age, Biden said, the two presidential hopefuls have little else in common. Former Trump Vice President Mike Pence has refused to endorse Trump’s reelection bid. The “Saturday Night Live” comedian honored his grandfather William Kelly, a longtime firefighter on Staten Island who painted houses and worked as a substitute teacher.

Montoya first responded to criticism to the toplessness in a separate TikTok post before the White House's statements. "Are we topless at the White House?" someone can be heard saying in the video. However, looking at Montoya's TikTok video post shows that replies and comments there are largely supportive and positive. The Bidens hosted a Pride Month 2023 event at the White House over the weekend, complete with Pride Flags and banners.

"My trans masculine friends were showing off their top surgery scars and living in joy, and I wanted to join them," she said. "And because it is perfectly within the law of Washington DC, I decided to join them and cover my nipples just to play it safe." Transgender model and activist Rose Montoya has apologized for going topless at a White House Pride event and posting the video, after a week of criticism from right-wing outlets, trans advocates and the White House press secretary. On Saturday afternoon, President Joe Biden welcomed hundreds of guests to a picnic on the South Lawn.

At the event, Mr Biden made a speech calling for the protection of the rights and safety of LGBT people amid a spate of “terrifying” attacks on the community. During the event Saturday, dubbed the largest Pride event in White House history, President Joe Biden lambasted "dangerous anti-LGBTQ" laws passed in state legislatures around the country. He singled out a Florida law that bans the teaching of gender identity and sexual orientation in public schools. Montoya defended her behavior in a follow-up video, arguing that going topless in Washington, D.C., is legal and accusing conservatives of using the video to try to advance their agenda.

Transgender Influencer Rose Montoya Defends Going Topless at White House

"More so than ever before, I have learned how powerful and just how impactful my actions are and how impactful it is when we share our stories and experiences and how we do so with the world. I want to take this moment to apologize for the impact of my actions." Rose Montoya, a transgender model and activist who posted the video to TikTok in which she and other guests posed topless, responded Friday in a 3-minute video posted to her social media platforms. "This behaviour is inappropriate and disrespectful for any event at the White House. It is not reflective of the event we hosted to celebrate LGBTQI+ families or the other hundreds of guests who were in attendance," Ms Jean-Pierre said. "In a quick moment of fleeting and overwhelming trans joy, I decided to do something unbecoming of a guest of the president at the White House lawn celebration," Montoya said.

Your neighbors at the bar are a mixed bag, ranging from run-of-the-mill barflies, couples (straight and LGBTQ) and a growing number of hip twentysomethings. A dance will run you $20 and there’s not much in the way of privacy, but sometimes the spirit takes you and – if that dancer is good enough – you’ll forget everyone else exists. She shared the clips with her social media followers and later slapped back at critics by claiming she did not violate any Washington, DC, laws. Trans rights are human rights,” Montoya said to the Democrat as they shook hands. The polyamorous model and trans rights advocate, who grew up in rural Idaho, did not immediately respond to an interview request.

Montoya stood grinning in front of the White House in one part of the video, the top of her dress at her waist, her hands covering her nipples. “When families across the country face excruciating decisions to relocate to a different state to protect their child from dangerous anti-LGTBQ laws, we have to act. We need to push back against the hundreds of callous and cynical bills introduced in states targeting transgender children, terrifying families and criminalising doctors and nurses,” he said.

The video sparked an online backlash, with many claiming her actions were in bad taste. Rose Montoya, 27, met the US president and First Lady Jill Biden at the largest Pride celebration in White House history on Saturday. Montoya, 27, who goes by pronouns she/they, was among hundreds of people the Biden administration invited to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to celebrate Pride Month which is observed each June. In response, Ms Montoya said being topless in Washington was legal and she had no intention of being vulgar.

In a short video shared to her Instagram page, Ms Montoya can be seen shaking Mr Biden’s hand and telling him “trans rights are human rights”. The White House announced a woman who took her top off during an event on the South Lawn over the weekend would not be invited to future events. The Biden administration said transgender activist Rose Montoya will not be invited back to the White House following her decision to go topless during the Pride Month event on the South Lawn. Three guests at a White House LGBTQ+ Pride party on Saturday have been banned from future events after posing topless on the South Lawn.

Montoya, 27, was barred from the executive mansion on Tuesday, as footage went viral of her pulling her shirt and cupping her breasts moments after meeting Biden on the South Lawn at a Pride party Saturday. Montoya was among hundreds of people the Biden administration invited to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to celebrate Pride Month which is observed each June. In 2021 she was named one of “18 LGBTQ+ Policy Makers and Advocates Changing the World” by Out Magazine on the strength of her online “educational content” as Republican-led state legislatures around the nation enacted anti-trans legislation. She began performing in drag during college and came out as transgender in 2015, when she started “gender affirming hormone therapy” and changed her name legally to Rosalynne, the bio says. The incident was posted to her 103,000 followers on Instagram, along with a follow-up clip Monday night, in which the 27-year-old snapped back at detractors.

Officials there didn’t immediately respond to a question about nudity rules on the grounds. A native Idahoan, Montoya spoke about trans people’s experiences at a National Press Club panel in D.C. On June 8 and was invited to a Pride Month celebration the following Saturday that was hosted by Biden and the first lady on the South Lawn.

The White House banned trans influencer Rose Montoya on Tuesday after she sparked a firestorm after posting a video showing her briefly going topless during a Pride event at the White House over the weekend. Some called the display of nudity disrespectful while others labeled it "disgraceful."

Although it immediately raised the hackles of conservatives, Montoya justified the post by saying she wanted to join two transmasculine friends who were showing off their own top surgery scars. “It has recently come to my attention that conservatives are trying to use the video of me topless at the White House to try to call the community groomers, et cetera. And I would just like to say that first of all, going topless in Washington, D.C. Is legal, and I fully support the movement in freeing the nipple,” she said. Also on Tuesday, The Guardian published an interview with Montoya discussing the lack of paid partnerships during this year’s Pride month.

This year, at least 525 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced and at least 78 have been enacted by state lawmakers across 41 states, according to the Human Rights Campaign, a group advocating for such rights. Of those bills, more than 220 pieces of legislation explicitly target transgender people. Rose Montoya, a trans woman, influencer and advocate, was one of those banned after posting a video on social media. Pride Month is being celebrated at a time when anti-transgender sentiment is rising in the United States, and brands including Target are facing boycotts over their Pride marketing and LGBTQ+ products. In a new video she shared on Instagram, Montoya — who is also a model — apologized and vowed to articulate "trans joy in a more effective way."

Don’t be surprised if you get asked to buy a dancer a drink either—and don’t be fooled into thinking that drink will get you a discount in the lap dance department. That being said, courting a dancer with drinks and tips, and probably more tips, could lead to a more, ahem, engaging experience. In a statement to The Post on Tuesday, a White House spokesperson said she flouted basic etiquette and is persona non grata at future events. Model Rose Montoya apologized for taking off her top at a White House LGBTQ Pride event in a new video shared online. Montoya acknowledged the criticism on Friday and apologized to LGBTQ people who faced harassment as a result of the video. However, before coming out as trans, it was not,” she added, seemingly oblivious to the fact that it would also be a breach of decorum for a man to remove his shirt at an executive mansion function.

Trans model Rose Montoya goes topless during White House Pride party after meeting Biden

"These are the 'bravest and most inspiring' people Biden has ever known. The country you once knew is gone." "This is what happened on the White House lawn," tweeted Collin Rugg, co-owner of conservative commentary outlet Trending Politics. Prominent military veterans have accused the Biden administration of diminishing the American flag by placing a Pride banner at the center of a display. To be considered public nudity, one must expose the female breast below the top of the nipple without full “opaque coverage,” according to the law on obscenity in the District of Columbia. Also in the clips, the Idaho-born model was seen getting the opportunity to meet the president and first lady.

Montoya, 27 — who was barred from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue following backlash from the flashing, which a White House spokesperson described as “inappropriate and disrespectful” — apologized for her behavior in a three-minute video on Twitter. "Last but not least I'd like to apologize to the president, the White House and the nation. It was also never my intention to create a situation that would lead to harassment and harm of myself and others," Montoya said. "Moving forward I am committed to using this moment as a catalyst for creating positive change within myself and within the broader community and world at large." Montoya, who uses she/they pronouns, has not publicly commented on the White House’s decision to ban her from future events, but defended herself on social media from the growing backlash Monday.

"It was unfair to the hundreds of attendees who were there to celebrate their families," she continued. "So, you know, we're going to continue to be clear on that. … It's not appropriate. It's disrespectful. And let's not -- it really does not reflect the event that we hosted to celebrate the LGBTQ+ families." The spokeswoman said Montoya and the two other topless guests in her video would not be invited to future White House events. Among the attendees was Montoya, a transgender rights activist who rose to prominence in 2021 for her educational social-media content about trans issues. On social media, Montoya, whose Instagram biography identifies her as an educator, model and actor, called the video an act of joy in celebrating the transgender community. “Individuals in the video certainly will not be invited to future events,” the press secretary said.

Hammer House of Horror TV Series 1980 Full Cast & Crew

hammer house of horror

Castle takes ample advantage of the jokes that hang at the expense of tropes that have endured since Whale's send-up, and the ones that have emerged in the interim. It might be difficult to see The Curse of Frankenstein now in the same context with which one saw it upon its initial release. Before this iteration of Shelley's tale, the first modern version of the myth, there hadn't been a horror film that so graphically indulged in gore and violence, in bright and shining color photography no less.

Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed

Their neighbours, George and Joan Evans, do their best to help the family, even sheltering them in their house. The Peters learn about the murder case, and request the Evans not to tell anyone about the recent happenings. According to a preliminary investigation released Friday by the Committee to Protect Journalists, nearly 100 journalists have been killed covering the war in Gaza. An election-year roast of President Joe Biden before journalists, celebrities and politicians at the annual White House correspondents’ dinner on Saturday butted up against growing public discord over the Israel-Hamas war. A timid, withdrawn woman meets a man she believes is finally the love of her life, unaware that he is a vicious serial killer.

Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde

hammer house of horror

The Hammer House of Horror approach was always a blend of classic Hammer period horror fun with more modern stories, so it’s fitting that the very first episode of the series involves a literal time warp. Patricia Quinn stars as a witch who manages to magick her way out of being executed in the Middle Ages, only to end up in the same place in the present day, where a lonely composer (Jon Finch) falls prey to her charms. It’s basically the story of a Hammer cinema character from the 1970s walking out of one of those films and into the 1980s, with everything that entails, and Quinn is plainly having a blast as the series’ lead-off villain. The contemporary setting of Hammer House of Horror meant the legendary studio could aim its darkly comic horror eye at all sorts of things, and in the case of “The Thirteenth Reunion,” the target was diet fads and health farms.

The Brides of Dracula

Along with his compatriot Rex (Leon Green), Nicholas liberates Simon and Tanith (Niké Arrighi) from a cult of devil worshippers, during which they disrupt a ceremony and are subsequently pursued by a vengeful spirit. It's a beguilingly mounted period piece, the type of which Hammer was so skilled at churning out, but it also catches you off-guard with its emotional impact. Unlike his terribly inert Countess Dracula, director Peter Sasdy finds an exquisite balance between character drama and alarming jolts within a larger story that plays closer to a Polanski-esque version of creeping madness than a typical Gothic horror melodrama. Snugly fitting the bill of '70s nihilism, Peter Collinson's bracing thriller would likely never be made nowadays, not for what it says or shows but for how unremittingly dour the whole production is. Like the best thrillers of this ilk, though, its darkest impulses do not weigh it down but rather give it a sadistic, jet-black comic edge.

The Curse of Frankenstein

She vows revenge on all of them for their treachery, as the pile of money bursts into flames. The story ends with Mrs Henska having delusions, thinking she is possessed by the Countess after the media find out about her ancestry. Meanwhile, Natalie begins researching a new book about another historical serial killer, a woman who strangled men with a velvet scarf, and prepares to begin a new killing spree. Clifford notes that Mrs. Henska is sheltering her nephew Tader, a refugee from Poland who works as a drag artiste. It is then revealed that Natalie is the killer, who roams the streets in disguise in skimpy costumes looking for men who want to take her to bed and then kills them. She tries to kill another man who picks her up but fails, soon afterwards finds another potential victim in a park (Pierce Brosnan).

Mary throws water on Lucinda, which weakens her, as witches are afraid of water. David picks up the voodoo doll and throws it into the fire; Lucinda's screams are heard. More than two dozen journalists in Gaza wrote a letter last week calling on their colleagues in Washington to boycott the dinner altogether.

David doesn't believe her and locks her in one of the bedrooms of the house. He calls Dr Charles who visits David but, when Lucinda has miraculously vanished from the locked room, he thinks David is simply hallucinating. After Charles leaves, Lucinda reappears and seduces David using witchcraft.

In 2000, the studio was bought by a consortium including advertising executive and art collector Charles Saatchi and publishing millionaires Neil Mendoza and William Sieghart.[2] The company announced plans to begin making films again, but none was produced. Guy Green's neat and tidy thriller, reminiscent of an elongated episode of the '70s British anthology series Thriller, is leant a significant scope by its Alassio setting. The Snorkel blends its straighter dramatic strands nicely with more blatant exploitation elements. (The poster brays, with admirable directness, "Teenage girl vs. killer-with-a-gimmick!") Through it all, we keep watching to see the increasingly dastardly Paul's undoing at Candy's hands, and the denouement certainly does not disappoint.

Shenley investigates the house a third time, and is welcomed by the ghost of old Lady Strudwick (Eleanor Summerfield), apparently the mistress of the manor house. Soon he begins to hear the same voice again saying, "you shouldn't have killed your wife", and Rayburn appears and grabs Shenley and hangs him on a noose in the house. Shenley wakes up again at home beside Emily, having had his third nightmare.

It was released as a four-disc set featuring all 13 episodes, and includes stills galleries and cast biographies as extras. Still shocked, Janet takes her son and moves to another house, collects all their belongings in the crash from the hospital, and burns them in the backyard. Janet notes that Martin is acting weirdly, and he has a long nail on his right hand. This makes her suspicious about his identity and she goes to see the dead body again in the hospital.

And again, neither Emily nor Lolly are able to remember him recounting these events to them before. Ruth and Andrew investigate and find that the corpses are being replaced by mannequins for burial, and that the funeral directors are secretly taking the dismembered carcasses to Chesterton Clinic. Ruth gets permission from her editor to expose the racket and advance her career, and – using her doctor friend's help – is admitted to the clinic as a patient with a feigned diagnosis of peripheral vascular disease.

The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires

One of the few mentions came from Kelly O’Donnell, president of the correspondents’ association, who briefly noted some 100 journalists killed in Israel’s 6-month-old war against Hamas in Gaza. In an evening dedicated in large part to journalism, O’Donnell cited journalists who have been detained across the world, including Americans Evan Gershkovich in Russia and Austin Tice, who is believed to be held in Syria. Families of both men were in attendance as they have been at previous dinners. This was a fantasy, science fiction and supernatural anthology series which dealt with normal people in everyday situations that found themselves having to experience something out of the ordinary. 17 episodes of approximately 50 minutes each were produced by Hammer Film Productions and 20th Century Fox Television.

Witching Time

It’s a merging of a lot of different Hammer hallmarks into one very entertaining episode. In the 2000s, although the company seemed to be in hibernation, frequent announcements had been made of new projects. In 2003, for example, the studio announced plans to work with Australian company Pictures in Paradise to develop new horror films for the DVD and cinema market. On 10 May 2007, it was announced that Dutch producer John De Mol had purchased the Hammer Films rights via his private equity firm Cyrte Investments. In addition to holding the rights to over 300 Hammer films, De Mol's company plans to restart the studio.

They condemned Biden for his support of Israel’s military campaign and Western news outlets for what they said was undercoverage and misrepresentation of the conflict. Biden’s speech, which lasted around 10 minutes, made no mention of the ongoing war or the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. But the president quickly segued to a grim speech about what he believes is at stake this election, saying that another Trump administration would be even more harmful to America than his first term. Biden opened his roast with a direct but joking focus on Trump, calling him “sleepy Don,” in reference to a nickname Trump had given the president previously. In China, Professor Van Helsing helps eight kung fu-trained siblings reclaim their ancestral mountain village, now the domain of seven powerful vampires and their army of undead slaves.

Mr Willis then appears and tells Ruth that he too was a survivor of the plane crash, before he kills her with a meat cleaver. Hammer consolidated their success by turning their most successful films into series. This was a practice they had making Dick Barton movies which they continued to their horror movies and other genres. The scores for many Hammer horror films, including The Curse of Frankenstein and Dracula, were composed by James Bernard. Other Hammer musical personnel included Malcolm Williamson, John Hollingsworth, and Harry Robertson.

The Evil of Frankenstein

Soon, Penny starts seeing visions of the dead Charlie wherever she goes and believes he has come back from the grave. Harry and Penny seek help from a tarot card reader named Margaret (Mia Nardi) who summons Charlie's spirit and learns that he seeks revenge. Margaret says she is not strong enough to fight Charlie, but an Indian Swami named Gupta Krishna can do it.

Dracula Has Risen from the Grave

Ruth learns of this and is soon approached by Andrew (Gerard Kelly), who works at a local firm of funeral directors. He says Ben's body was brought there and that accidents similar to this one have occurred in the recent past, and he thinks his employers are in some way connected with them. Under Lucinda's spell, and being told that his wife is unfaithful, David locks Mary in the cellar as he prepares a pyre, convinced that it is Mary who should be burnt at the stake. Mary escapes and locks David in the stable for safety, but Lucinda reappears. Mary tries using the voodoo doll against Lucinda by recasting it in her image, but fails.

Castle's tone here is more openly jocular than Whale's original, which chose a satirical approach over a parodic one. In fact, this appears to be a movie entirely unconnected from any reality yet discovered. It is certainly not scary, but in its zany silliness, it is often quite funny. Remaking a film such as The Old Dark House is, in fact, one of the more worthwhile endeavors if one is to remake anything.

A relieved Janet goes back to the house to Martin, but is shocked to find his teeth decayed, implying that Martin is dead and the attacker was the doppelganger who took over Martin's persona. They run to the neighbor Mr Upity for help, where Janet hides in the stable from Martin's doppelganger, but then finds David there, who is now has decayed teeth and is a doppelganger of David. Both doppelgangers attack Janet, when Mr Upity appears on scene and Janet blacks out. Martin and Janet Lewis, with their son David, are driving on holiday when they give a lift to a mysterious hitchhiker in the rain, his face concealed in a raincoat.

There, she prowls around late at night and finds a room with several carcasses being stored like an abattoir. She sees the clinic director Jack Rothwell (Kevin Stoney) taking one of the dismembered corpses in his car, and follows him to a country mansion. Magazine journalist Ruth Cairns (Julia Foster) is assigned by her editor (Dinah Sheridan) to cover an unconventional weight-loss programme at the Chesterton clinic.

The local police detective Aldrige (Antony Carrick) visits the store but does not find anything. Martin finds the couple's house keys in Chuck's coat, and visits their house. The story ends with Norman Shenley now rushing to his office that morning to break the 'good news' about his wife's 'departure' and desire to marry Lolly, but she is now demure and staid, and cannot understand anything being said, despite being given a valuable diamond necklace.
